Let's write as if nothing before has been written!
| || To the editor:
I'm grateful for the chance to share what I do. A poet and journalist from Louisville, Kentucky, much of my work looks back, where the answers are, often addressing forgotten lives and legacies -- the theme of my upcoming chapbook.
Walking with Rashi, the long poem in this submission deals with with Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, scene of the mass shooting in 2018, and my family's lifelong connection with it. Jutland, which appears in the chapbook laments lives lost in a tragic moment, in this case the Battle of Jutland, yet how shadows of those lives survive.
I hope you find something here that stirs your soul and some your gray matter. All the best.
