| || John Short was born in Liverpool, England and studied comparative religion at Leeds university and creative writing at Liverpool university. Later he spent some years in Europe doing a variety of jobs. He has been a language teacher, agricultural worker, factory worker, hotel receptionist and musician. In 2011 he started submitting work and since then his poems and stories have appeared in magazines in the UK, Spain, France, Ireland and the USA. Most recently in Horror Zine, Yellow Mama, Picaroon, Eunoia Review, Ghost City and forthcoming in South Bank Poetry and Poetry Salzburg Review. He is a member of The Liver Bards and reads at venues around Liverpool and beyond. He has no particular literary theories except Charles Bukowski^s advice that you should only bother if it thunders out of you like a train and the old maxim that less is more.|
