john short

     John Short was born in Liverpool, England and studied comparative religion at Leeds university and creative writing at Liverpool university. Later he spent some years in Europe doing a variety of jobs. He has been a language teacher, agricultural worker, factory worker, musician and traveler. In 2011 he started submitting work and since then his poems and stories have appeared in magazines in the UK, Spain, France and the USA. Most recently in The Frogmore Papers, The French Literary Review, Prole, Dream Catcher, Black Market Re-view, The Metaworker and Message in a Bottle. He is a member of The Liver Bards poetry group and reads at venues around Liverpool. He has no particular theory about poetry except Charles Bukowski^s advice that you should only bother if it thunders out of you like a train.
